David Martin attended the United Methodist Church from childhood when he was a member of Trinity UMC in Gainesville, Florida. He then went to Centenary College of Louisiana to earn a degree in Christian Education and spent 10 years in youth ministry at various United Methodist Churches. In 1998, he moved to the North Little Rock area and worked as a math teacher. Later, he changed careers and spent the last 20 years in the asphalt industry. David has two grown children who grew up in the NLRFUMC community and have been shaped by its ministry. "I spent the last 10 years as Lay Leader here at NLRFUMC and am excited to now be on staff for this wonderful church family. I will be in charge of the operations of the building and its use, while also helping in ministry engagement. If you are looking for a place to fit in, I would be happy to share with you all that is available here at First United Methodist Church." In David's spare time, he likes to play disc golf, attend Razorback games, and is a regular at American Pie Pizza Trivia Night in NLR. |
