Heifer Village August 30, 2009
Heifer Project Update….43 people joined us after church to visit the new Heifer International Cultural Center in Little Rock. The children and adults learned more about the amazing difference we can make around the world through this organization. There were many hands on ctivities for the children enjoy. The biggest surprise was the amount of money our children have collected over the summer. After all the quarters were rolled and the bills counted we had $202!!! That was enough to buy the goat as well as a trio of rabbits and 20 chickens! Way to go kids.. Thank you Mrs. Shannon for leading the children in this awesome study through the summer. Below are several pictures taken during the trip to Heifer Village:

We believe this early education is a great way to begin their faith journey.
Kid's Praise is a program for kids ages 3 - 5 that provides bible stories/crafts, songs, and fun while parents are attending the 10:45 am service. The children’s activities are centered on the same scriptures that are being preached in the 10:45 service.
Preschool Sunday School is offered in two separate classes at 9:30 am (3-4 year-old preschool class; and a 4-5 year-old pre-kindergarten class) that present Bible story lessons that are matched to your child’s developmental level. These children will benefit from wonderful committed teachers that will remain with them for the entire year. Our preschool classes begin their Sunday school time in the chapel for choir time. During this time the children work on songs to be presented at special times of worship.
Rotation Sunday School includes Kindergarten through 5th grade; this is an exciting Sunday school program that is child oriented to help younger minds understand God’s teachings. From Safari.Net computer lab to Cinema on the Mount Theater, from arts and crafts in Carpenter’s cape to the Choral Reef music room, kids in Cruisin’ Christian Adventurers will have a blast!
Wacky Wednesday involves preschool kid’s ages 4and up along with Elementary kids in grades K – 5. These kids have the opportunity to participate in a mid-week ministry on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 pm. As the name suggest, this time of learning is experienced through themed lessons in some very wacky ways. They will come together with friends and learn Bible truths and scriptures through fast paced activities and games, incredible crafts, Bible stories, and much more.
